PT Agility is one of the logistics companies that has competed at the global level. This company has been established since 1979 until now (2018).
The logistics activities in PT Agility include freight forwarding, transportation and warehousing. But our industrial visit at PT Agility is only focused on warehousing activities.
In this warehousing activity, it is what is learned in industrial visit. warehousing in a unit component in supply chain products and parts of the warehouse. warehouse is a place that is burdened with the task of storing goods to be used in production, until the goods to be used in production, until the goods are requested according to the production schedule. this storage function is often called inventory space, raw material warehouse or local special name, depanding on the type of goods stored.

1. Receiving goods (Inbound) : items received at Agility Pondok Ungu warehouse includes shoes, Herbalife, and some other sports, household equipment, etc. Warehouse receive goods from outside or inside factory and accept responsibility from them or senders. This means the warehouse must :
-check items based on orders and bill of lading.
-check quantity.
-check damage and fill in damage reports of needed.
-check items if needed.
2. Identifying items : Items identified by the number of stock-keeping units (SKUs) and recording the quantity received.
3. Sending items to storage : Items are sorted on the rack has a clear and complete floor address and rack number to facilitate the picking process.
4. Deposits of goods : Item are stored in storage and under good protection until the time is needed.
5. Storage of goods is adjusted to the type of goods stored to avoid damage to goods. At PT Agility Pondok Ungu, there is a special cooled room.
6. Collecting goods : Items needed from the stock must be selected from storage and taken to the drafting area.
7. Arrangement of shipments : Items made into one order are brought together and checked if there is negligence or error. listing of order is always update.
8. Sending items to shipping, orders packed, shipping documents prepared, and items loaded in the right vehicle.
9. Operating an information system, a record must be administered for each item in indicating the stock quantity on one side, above what is received, the quantity issued, and the location in the warehouse. the system can be very simple, depending on minimum writting information and human memory or is an experienced computer-base system.
